RCPCH Fellowship (UK)

Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH)  UK awards ONE Traveling Fellowship through Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) from amongst the applications received from the eligible members.  Only those members of IAP who are young and at a relatively early post-residency stage of his/her carrier may apply.  The fellowship is expected to cover traveling expenses and a reasonable stipend.  Fellowship is awarded in General Pediatrics and Neonatology for a period of 2 years.  First year in General Pediatrics and second year in Neonatology.  The prescribed application form may be obtained from Central IAP Office on request.   The application should be submitted along with detailed biodata of the applicant inSEVEN COPIES to the Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Kailas Darshan, Kennedy Bridge, Mumbai 400007.  The applicants should give a statement in writing along with their application, duly signed by the applicant, stating that he / she has read the rules for selection of candidates for this traveling fellowship and that the decision of the committee appointed by the Executive Board of IAP with regards to selection of IAP candidate will be accepted by him / her as final and binding on him / her and shall not ask for disclosure of marks of other candidates for the traveling fellowship.  The application without signed statement of the applicant shall be considered as invalid application.  The last date for submission of application is 30th June 2009.

DIPLOMA IN HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATION

ELIGIBILITY
(i) A Bachelor’s Degree (under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year
bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the
mandatory requirements of 15 years of formal education), either in
medicine or paramedical faculty, with a minimum of 3 years work
experience in a health care institution or a Bachelor’s Degree in any
other faculty (under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge
course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the
mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education), with 45% of
marks (35% for Scheduled Castes [SCs]/Scheduled Tribes [STs]) and
with a minimum of 5 years work experience in a health care
institution.
(ii) Age under 45 years as on June 22, 2009. In a special case, this limit
may be relaxed.
(iii) Special Students: Persons holding the necessary academic
qualifications may be permitted to audit a maximum of three
lecture courses per semester, on the payment of Rs. 100/- per
course as special students. Such students may be given an
attendance certificate provided they meet the attendance
requirements as specified under VIII.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
(i) The Information Brochure and Application Form can be obtained by
paying Rs. 500/- in person at the Cash Counter of the Institute or by
sending a demand draft of Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of The
Registrar, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, payable at
Mumbai. Application for admission must be made in the prescribed
form. The information brochure and Application Form can also be
downloaded from the TISS website www.tiss.edu Please note that
while submitting the downloaded Application Form, the application
fee of Rs. 500/- (non-refundable) should accompany it. The
application will not be considered unless the form is completed in
all respects and received in time.
(ii) Candidates should send only attested copies of their certificates
along with the applications.
Last date for submission of application by post or in person is May
29, 2009, and the interviews will be held in June 2009. The interview

He/She should also give names of two referees.

Candidates applying for PDF are exempted from theory examination, but they would have to appear in an interview to be held on Monday dated 08.06.2009 in respective departments.

Age limit: Upper age limit for eligibility is 35 Years on the first day of the month of start of the Session i.e. on 01/07/2009. Age relaxation of a maximum of 5 years may be given to SC/ST/OBC candidates (only those having Domicile in the state of Uttar Pradesh). Reservation to widowed/divorced/legally-separated women who have not re-married and disabled/handicapped persons will be as per Government rules. There is no upper age limit for PDF Course.

Note: Incomplete and incorrect applications, in any respect, would be rejected.

HOW TO APPLYThe information brochure and application forms can be downloaded from the Institute’s website [http://www.sgpgi.ac.in] duringSaturday 25th April 2009 to Wednesday 20th May 2009. The candidates will have to fill up the APPLICATION FORM ONLINE. After online submission a print out of filled in application form MUST be taken and sent to Executive Registrar SGPGIMS Lucknow 226014 along with all relevant documents in support of age, qualification, experience, reservation etc and duly signed by the candidate. A bank draft of Rs. 1,000/- towards examination fee should also be attached with the application form. The Bank Draft should be drawn in favour of Director, SGPGIMS, Lucknow Academic Account, drawn on SBI, SGPGI Branch, (Code No. 7789), payable at Lucknow. The last date of receiving of completed application forms along with necessary enclosures is Wednesday 20th May 2009.

HOW TO KNOW YOUR ELIGIBILITYEligibility status of each application will be available on the same Website on Monday 1st  June  2009.

HOW TO GET YOUR ADMIT CARD: Eligible candidates can print their Admit Card ONLINE (only once) between 1st June to 6th June 2009, using their email id, password & registration no. provided at the time of filling the application.

HOW TO KNOW YOUR RESULT:  The list of candidates called for departmental test will be displayed the day following the PART A – objective written examination.
The final result of entrance exam will be available on the Institute website / Institute notice boards within one week of the entrance exam.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  1. Part A – objective MCQ written examination for selection of DM/M.Ch/PDCC/ Senior Residents (HS) will be held on Sunday 07th June, 2009 from 10.30 AM to 12.00 Noon. Based on result of Part-A examination candidate will be called for Part –B departmental objective test examination. Interview for PDF posts will be held on 08.06.2009 from 10.00 AM onwards in respective departments.
  2. The number of seats/posts advertised may increase or decrease.
  3. Reservation will apply as per rule. Reservation will be admissible only to candidates having Domicile in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates having Domicile other than Uttar Pradesh will be treated as General category candidates for all purposes.
  4. The Candidates must possess MD / MS Degree or equivalent qualification while applying for the post.
  5. The Candidate must submit copy of Medical Registration from Medical Council of India or State Medical Council / proof of recognition of his/her degree from Medical Council of India or with State Medical Council, failing which application will be rejected.
  6. Since the application forms are to be filled ONLINE the candidate must ensure that they fill the correct and complete information. On the basis of the information filled by the candidates ONLINE, their suitability for appearing in the entrance examination will be assessed. The Institute will not be responsible if application of any candidate is rejected on the basis of information filled by him ONLINE in the application form.
  7. While filling ONLINE application forms, candidates must follow the instructions on the screen.
  8. Incomplete application and application received after the last date will summarily be rejected.
  9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Director, SGPGIMS, Lucknow will be final.

Pattern of Written test for AIIMS DM/Mch entrance changed

CORRIGENDUM
Corrigendum to Admission Notice No. 2/2009 published on 14.03.2009.
In compliance to the orders of Hon’ble Delhi High Court of June, 2004 in the matter of
the AIIMS Vs Dr. A.M.V.R. Narendra W.A. 127/2003 and 177/2003 regarding the
admission to DM/M.Ch. Courses and as per directions on the subject revised selection
procedure for DM/MCh/ MHA courses and Ph.D Programme from July, 2009
session onwards will be as under:
Stage I A Written test for 130 marks of 120 minutes (2 hours) duration in the
subject concerned, the candidate has applied for. The question paper will
consist of 130 Multiple Choice Question (MCQs) out of which 100 marks
MCQs pertaining to the subject concerned and further the question paper
will consist of 30 (MCQs) relating to Clinical Assessment, Diagnostic
Evaluation including Laboratory Testing and planning the
Management in respective fields. Each correct answer will be awarded
1 mark. Each wrong answer will be awarded one-third negative mark.
More than one answer will be treated as wrong answer and awarded
negative mark (-1/3). Zero mark will be given for question not answered.
Stage II Out of candidates who secured 50% marks or above in the written test
MCQs (Stage-I), candidates three times the number of seats advertised
will be called for interview. There will be no cut off marks for interview.
Note: (I) The result of stage-I, will be displayed on the Notice Board of Examination
Section, AIIMS. No individual intimation will be sent.
(II) The merit list shall be prepared on the basis of combined marks i.e. written
test (MCQs 100+30 marks = 130) and interview (20 marks).
(III) In case, if a candidates does not appear in one of the above two stages
then he/she will not be considered as a qualified candidate.
(IV) The wait list will also be prepared for the concerned subject/department.
The schedule for Stage I (Written Test) as well as Stage II (interview)
will remain the same.
NB: The method of selection given in the prospectus for DM/M.Ch. Courses in Super
Speciality Departments, MHA course and Ph.D Programme for July, 2009
session has been cancelled and withdrawn and revised procedure will be as
given above.

WB Higher speciality Entrance 2009 notification

Eligibility:

Citizens of India who have obtained the requisite Post Graduate Medical degree (MD/ MS) (or qualifications equivalent to M.D. / M.S. degree as determined by Medical Council of India from time to time) from any MCI-recognized Institution of India shall be eligible to apply for admission to the Post Doctoral Medical Degree Courses.  

Selection Process:   

4.1  The selection of candidates for admission to D.M. / M.Ch. Courses will be done on the basis of the marks obtained in the respective Admission test. Tests will be held separately for each discipline of the DM and M. Ch. courses.

4.2. Applicants will be provisionally allowed to appear in the Admission tests (written plus interview) provided they have submitted application in the prescribed forms within the last date and have fulfilled the eligibility criteria outlined above.

4.3. The question papers for the Admission tests shall be set in English

4.4. The question paper for the Admission test for D.M./ M. Ch. (3 years) Course shall be of two sets. The first set will contain 50 single best response type Multiple Choice Questions on either General Medicine including related basic sciences (for D.M.) or General Surgery including related basic sciences (for M.Ch.). The second set will contain 30 single best response type Multiple Choice Questions on any one of the disciplines as per the preference indicated by the candidate.

 

4.5. The candidature of each candidate will be limited to his/ her preferred choice of discipline.

4.6   The total time to be allowed is 65 minutes. 

4.7.  A candidate will be awarded four (4) marks for every correct answer. One (1) mark will be  deducted for every incorrect answer. More than one response to any question will also be   regarded as incorrect answer. No marks will be deducted for questions not attempted.

4.8. A provisional eligibility list to appear for the interview will be published on the basis of marks obtained in the written Admission examination as specified below:

4.8.1.     D.M. and M. Ch (3years): on the basis of marks obtained in the specified admission examination consisting of 80 questions, i.e., marks obtained in 50 questions of the common set + marks obtained in 30 questions of the subject-specific set opted for. Qualifying minimum for empanelment for interview will be 50% marks.

4.8.2.     The candidates of the provisional eligibility list of D.M. and M. Ch. (3 years) courses will have to appear in an interview of 80 marks on the discipline concerned on a date to be declared by WBUHS in its website along with the results of WBPDMAT.

4.9. The final merit list will be published on the basis of total marks obtained in the    

      Admission examination for D.M. or M. Ch. (3 years) written and interview taken together.

5.     BOND:

7.1.    Candidate selected for a super-speciality seat will be required to sign a bond for completion of tenure of the course, failing which he/she will be required to pay Rs. 2 Lakhs for the default (i.e. non completion of the course).

  1. Applicants are required to enclose a self addressed unstamped envelop (approx. size: 25 cm. x12 cm.) along with the print-copy of the application for sending the Admit Card. The print-copy of the application along with a crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 2000/- in favour of ‘The West Bengal University of Health Sciences’ payable at Kolkata is to be submitted either by hand or by Speed/ Registered post to the office of the ‘Controller of Examinations, West Bengal University of Health Sciences, DD-36, Sector-I, Salt Lake, Kolkata-700064’, so that it reaches the office of the WBUHS within 30.04.2009. Candidates are requested to write name, telephone no., mobile no. and ‘Serial No.’, mentioned on the print-out of the form on the back of the bank draft.
